The game is comprised of a Game Board, eight colored "Spools of Thread" (which are the game playing pieces), a single die (to control game flow), 3,000 quilting and sewing trivia "Question / Answer Cards" (6 questions and answers per card with a total of 500 cards, click on the Sample Questions spool to the left for an example, there are 1,000 questions and they change daily, 3 new questions per day so come back each day and test your knowledge), and 200 "Perk" and "Quirk" cards which bestow benefits or penalties respectively (click on the Perks & Quirks spool to the left for an example).

Playing the game is simple.  All players start at the center of the game board in the "Gazebo."  A player will roll the die and then select a card from the question/answer card deck and attempt to answer the question that corresponds to the number on the die.  If the player answers the question correctly, the die is rolled again and the player advances the number of steps indicated on the die.  The goal of the game is to visit each of the four quilt stores located on the game board (Barnyard Quilts, Heavenly Quiltworks, Windmill Quilts and Riverview Quilts), as well as an additional number of locations decided upon by the game players.  The duration of the game can be lengthened or shortened depending on the total number of locations that the players decide must be visited, however, at a minimum the players must visit all four of the quilt stores to win the game. 

As the players travel around the board they may land on "Perk" or "Quirk" or "Shop Hop" buttons.  When landing on a "Perk" button, the player will draw a card from the "Perk" deck and receive the benefit specified thereon.  Likewise, when the player lands on a "Quirk" button the player will draw a card from the "Quirk" deck and receive the penalty specified thereon.  If the player lands on a "Shop Hop" button they may then jump to any location on the board with credit for that location.

The questions and answers in the game have been designed to be interesting, informative, educational, and just plain fun.  The questions range from the very simple, i.e. "What is a thimble?"..... to the very hard, i.e. "What is a Japanese 'yubi nuki'?" There will be times when you will say "wow, I didn't know that" and times when "I knew that" will be your thought.  Regardless, you will have fun playing and testing your quilting knowledge.
