PERKS & QUIRKS

Perks and Quirks are the "benefits" or "penalties" that a player will experience while playing Sew You Want To Be A Quilter^TM .  There are a number of Perk and Quirk spaces on the game board, and should a player land on one of these spaces they will be required to draw a card from the appropriate deck, either Perk or Quirk, and to receive the benefit or penalty specified thereon.

Sample of Perks:

1.  While staying at a quilt retreat you find a fat quarter on your pillow instead of a mint.

Perk-> Answer another question, if correct roll again and move the number on the die

2.  Your best friends offer to help you finish sewing the binding on your quilt that is to be in the show tomorrow.

Perk->  Forward four spaces without further penalty or credit for space

3.  You inherit several valuable antique quilts from a distant relative who you never met

Perk->  Move forward to the nearest intersection

4.  Getting your cast removed today from when you tripped over sewing machine cords and broke your wrist.

Perk->  Go to Satin Stitch Hospital (credit for location)

Sample of Quirks:

1.  You lost your needle in carpet, spouse steps on it and draws this to your attention  

Quirk->  Answer another question, if wrong back to nearest Perk space without credit for space

2.  Your family DEMANDS that you have dinner with them tonight instead of attending guild meeting

Quirk->  Back four spaces without further penalty or credit

3.  Trip over sewing machine cords and fall breaking your wrist.  Can't hand quilt for 8 weeks.

Quirk->  Go to Satin Stitch Hospital (no credit for location)

4.  The cat had kittens in your fabric stash

Quirk->  Roll die and move backwards the number on the die without further penalty or credit for space
