SPECIAL THANKS

We would like to extend our special thanks and recognition to the following people for providing us with the benefit of their talents, advice, support and suggestions all of which have been valuable contributions to making Sew You Want To Be A QuilterTM  a reality:

1.  Gale Ching
Aurora and Gale have been best friends and quilting buddies since 1990.  They were involved in a special quilting ministry at Maranatha Christian Fellowship in San Diego, California. On a quilt retreat in San Diego in October, 2000, Gale and Aurora were kidding around about the television show You Want to Be A Millionnaire.  They thought that there should be a show for quilters.  One thing led to another, and Gale and Aurora came to the conclusion that a quilting game would be an awesome idea.

2.  Suzanne Patafio
The Quilted Moose, Machine Quilting, Coeur d'Alene, Idaho.  Suzanne helped Aurora create the quilt that is used as the background for the board game. We are forever indebted to Suzanne for her help, her encouragement, her creativity, and her pushing and pushing us to make this game a reality.

3.  Tris Fisher
Heavenly Quiltworks, and SeamsTris Coeur d'Alene, Idaho.  Tris gave us lots of suggestions right from the start.  She has been a friend for many years and was a major contributor to the direction the game took once we had the idea.

4.  Beve Greene
Beve is the one who taught Aurora and Suzanne how to machine quilt in her shop in Spokane, Washington, Threads For Beds.  She has been a friend for years and took some time to help Aurora and Suzanne in the design and construction of the game board quilt.  Beve is also a wealth of quilting knowledge and we tested our questions on her to make sure that they were actually answerable.  Thanks Beve, you helped us to believe that this was possible and that people would actually enjoy the questions.

5.  Darryl Smith
Boyd Walker Sewing Machine Company, Spokane, Washington.  Darryl sold Aurora and Suzanne their Nolting Longarm Quilting Machines when they first started their machine quilting business, The MooseQuilteers.  He has been a friend ever since.  Over the years Darryl has provided guidance and insight and helped us along in many ways.  Darryl agreed to let us use the name of his business as one of the locations on our game board.  For this, and many other reasons, we want to thank Darryl for being there for us.

6.  Rex and Rita Pilger
Craig's cousin Rex, and his wife Rita (the quilting cousin as Aurora calls her), provided valuable insight when they came over and played the game with us one night.  Through several glasses of wine, lots of fun and small talk, Rex and Rita provided us with some suggestions which, upon reflection, were too valuable to ignore.

7.  The group of girls at Paducah, you know who you are!  While in Paducah, Kentucky for the quilt show, Aurora and a group of her quilting buddies rented a house boat.  One night they got together with the girls from the boat next door to "test" play the game.  Based on their suggestions and observations we made some major changes in how the game would be played.  We thank you for invaluable input.  The simpler the better!

8.  Sharis DeJaynes
Webifeye, our web site designer, and a good friend and "riding" buddy.  We all own Harley's and ride together and Sharis did a great job on our web site.  She had to put up with a lot from us in the design and implementation of the web site, and her patience and guidance as well as expertise are greatly appreciated.

9.  Lee Milne
Milne Photography, Professional Photographer.  Lee took the original pictures of the quilt which were then sent to Jim Beck to translate into a digital format.  Lee did a wonderful job and really captured the beauty of the quilt.

10.  Jim Beck
Independent Separation, graphics wizard.  Jim translated Lee Milne's photograph into a "digital" format which was then used for the basis of the "game board," for the back drop to this web site, and pretty much everywhere you see the game quilt.

11.  Gina Harris
Just Gina Graphics, our Graphic artist, responsible for the design of the "game path," the design on the box top, design of the borders for the Question / Answer cards and the layout of the Perk and Quirk cards.

12.  Best Quilting Buddies
A special thank you to my best quilting buddies:  Deborha McManus, Debbie Jensen, Brenda Breadon, Margie Bjorklund, Scotti McCarthy, Lois Knight, Carol Schwankl, Eunice Rowe (Dec 1923 - Feb 2006) you are the best friends any quilter would want.  I look forward to many more quilting retreats together with you guys.  Cindy Murray, Huckleberry Creek Quilt Designs and author of "The Happy Rug Hooker."  Sherry Rogers-Harrison and Karen McTavish for your early input and guidance.  Thank you all for believing in us and encouraging us to follow our dreams!

13.  The Lord Jesus Christ
If it were not for You we would be nothing in life.
